Sr. Mary John Mananzan O.S.B

"Education for Justice & Social Transformation"

Sr. Mary John Mananzan is a distinguished Missionary Benedictine sister from the Philippines. A revered theologian, author, and feminist activist, she has significantly contributed to developing Asian feminist theology of liberation. Sr. Mary John has held prominent positions such as president of St. Scholastica's College, prioress of the Missionary Benedictine Sisters in the Manila Priory, and national chairperson of the Association of Major Religious Superiors of the Philippines. She remains actively involved in numerous organizations focused on gender issues and women's concerns, currently serving as superior of the Manila community and a member of the Priory Council.

With nearly two decades of experience, Christian has established himself as a trusted voice in Philippine journalism and education, teaching at the University of Santo Tomas.

Atty. Leila de Lima

Atty. Leila de Lima is a prominent Filipino lawyer, human rights activist, and politician. She began her legal career as a staff member for a Supreme Court justice and later established her own law firm. Leila served as the Chairperson of the Commission on Human Rights from 2008 to 2010 and was the Secretary of Justice from 2010 to 2015. She was elected as a senator in 2016, where she focused on promoting human rights and fighting corruption. Despite facing legal challenges and imprisonment, she remains a steadfast advocate for justice and human rights.

Senator Risa Hontiveros is a renowned health and women's rights advocate, celebrated for her tireless work in promoting public health, gender equality, and the welfare of marginalized groups. A former journalist and community organizer, she served as the representative of Akbayan Partylist from 2004 to 2010 before being elected to the Senate in 2016 and re-elected in 2022. As a legislator, she has championed numerous landmark laws, including the Expanded Maternity Leave Law and the Mental Health Law, and has been a leading voice against corruption and abuse in government. Hontiveros is also recognized for her peace advocacy, having been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005 for her contributions to the peace movement in the Philippines. A loving solo mother of four, she continues to push for reforms that benefit Filipino families and uphold social justice​
